AFH: MN has partnered with the TESFA Foundation to assist in the design and
construction of a school in the small village of Ekodaga, Ethiopia. The project
is set to begin constructon in mid January and will bring early childhood
education, water, sanitation, and a safe play area to a community in need. The
project will serve over 200 students and their families.
Join us for a charette to kick off the design process on Sunday, November 15th
from 10am - 5pm at the West Bank
Social Center. (501
Cedar Ave S on the West Bank) Please bring any supplies you might have,
including, but not limited to: paper, trace paper, foam board, tape, pencils
& pens, markers, straight edges, scales, and anything else you think might
be useful.
We will have bagels & cream cheese in the morning and pizza for lunch, so
come hungry and ready to get to work!
We'll also be taking over the regular AFH:MN November meeting on Monday,
November 16th from 6 - 9pm at the West Bank Social Center to continue design
work for the project.
