Hi,
After a bit of wrangling with dates and times and speaker availability, I'd like to announce the next Software Architecture Meetup:
Topic: NoSQL Databases: Hbase and MongoDB
Date: Tuesday, June 19th
Time: 18:30
Simon Kelly will give an introduction to Hbase, and Bradley Whittington will give an overview of MongoDB for about 20 minutes to half an hour each, with some discussion afterwards. The goal is to understand the purpose of the database (especially in comparison to the other NoSQL datbases), when you would use it, and maybe when you would not.
There will be some beers available, and if there's enough interest, we might adjourn to a nearby restaurant for dinner afterwards.
We will be having a second meetup a week or two afterwards, covering Riak and Cassandra, if you can't make this one. Any feedback you wish to give on meeting times, days, locations, and other logistics, please mail me privately - I want to make these as accessible as possible.
Otherwise, we hope to see you there.
Cheers,
-Jonathan
