Hi!

Mike has published the results of the survey here:
http://www.smartermessaging.com/2012/06/07/cape-town-architecture-meetup-survey-results/
- thanks very much to him for sorting that all out.

The results look fairly promising, so now I guess we should pick a
topic and a date.

Based on the preferences people expressed, and the readiness of
speakers, I propose that we launch straight off with a NoSQL evening,
with Simon Cross on Riak, and one of the guys from the MongoDB meetup
(http://www.meetup.com/Cape-Town-MongoDB-User-Group/), as well as
anybody else who wants to talk about Cassandra or whatever.

Following that, we can have an infrastructure automation evening -
we've got some Puppet people and some Chef people and some EC2 people
and some Vagrant people, so we can definitely come up with something.

I'd also like to put a talk on architecting a team in there, but I'm
not sure who would give it - I'd like to invite Simon de Haan from
Praekelt to present on this, but maybe we should leave that for a bit
later.

As for a date, I'm going to throw Tuesday the 19th of June out there
(trying to mix it up for people who couldn't make the last Monday
meeting). If anybody knows of any clashes, please let me know. If you
can't make it and really want to, maybe let me know privately, and if
there's enough people to sway me, we could reschedule.

If there are no objections to the above, I'll create and announce the
event early next week.

Cheers,
-Jonathan
