First of all, try using the latests ArgoUML (0.30.2) and ArchGenXML (2.5) to avoid strange behaviours.

I would also suggest you to use the latest version of Plone3 (3.3.5) or even Plone4.

And after could you paste the generated code about the Image?

By default the generated code should display you a link to the uploaded image.

Have a nice day,

Objet : [Archetypes-users] Problems creating an image field using ArgoUMLand ArchgenXML

Hi,

I am trying to create a new content type for Plone using ArgoUML and
ArchgenXML. I am quite new to the process but I have managed to create and
install a simple content type. However I would like to include a field which
lets the user browse for and upload an image. I have created a field (or
attribute in ArgoUML) called 'image' and set it to type = image. I can
install my new product in Plone 3 and it works fine: when I add a new object
based on the content type I get a field called Image with a browse button
which I can use to select an image file. However, when I view the new object
I've created there is no image displayed. It's as if no image file has been
uploaded. Am I missing something? Do I need to set some other parameters
(tagged values) in ArgoUML?

I've tried reading some of the documentation on the Plone website about
content types, widgets, etc. but I quickly get lost, as I am not an
experienced developer. I'd be grateful if someone could point me in the
right direction.

Further info:
My ArgoUML model contains one package (called BannerElement) with one class
(also called BannerElement) and four attributes.
I'm using ArchgenXML version 0.24 and (I think) the latest version of
ArchgenXML (2.2).
I'm using a local instance of Plone 3.0.1 with Python 2.4.4 on Windows XP.

Thanks,
Andy
