Hello Sir,

I am Saurabh Kumar an undergraduate student at BITS Pilani. I am Interested in the project Frontend: New Parser in Python to ArchC Language . I have been working with python for about a year now. Apart from python, I know C, C++ and Java also. Recently I worked on a LL(1) parser for a toy language in C. Hence I find myself suitable for this project. While trying to build the existing code, I got the following 2 errors.

1. error: possibly undefined macro: AC_DISABLE_SHARED
If this token and others are legitimate, please use m4_pattern_allow.
      See the Autoconf documentation.

2. error: possibly undefined macro: AC_PROG_LIBTOOL

I am attaching the screenshot below for your reference.

Waiting for your reply.

Thanking You.

Sincerely,
Saurabh Kumar

Hi Saurabh,

Could you send us more information about your build environment?

sir i am using ubuntu 15.10,
gcc 5.2.1
gnu make 4.0
bison  3.0.2
flex 2.5.39
autoreconfig 2.69

version for some of the tools is higher than the one suggested but I assume they all support backward compatibility, unlike python. or do they? The error occurs while running autogen script "./autogen.sh"

@Rodolfo it might be a good idea to add libtool in required dependencies on the tutorial
