Key Responsibilities

• Assess source and target database environments and define migration strategies.
  
• Execute migrations between Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and cloud databases.
  
• Design and implement ETL/ELT processes for data movement and transformation.
  
• Validate migrated data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
  
• Troubleshoot migration issues and resolve data discrepancies.
  
• Optimize migration performance to minimize downtime.
  
• Coordinate migration testing, cutover, and post-migration support.
  
• Document migration procedures, risks, dependencies, and recovery plans.
  
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
  
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and architecture teams throughout migration projects.
  

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 7+ years of Data Engineering experience.
  
• 5+ years of database migration experience.
  
• Hands-on expertise with PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MySQL.
  
• Experience migrating on-premises databases to cloud platforms.
  
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
  
• Experience with large-scale data migrations (TB-level datasets preferred).
  
• Knowledge of high-availability, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
  
• Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills
