Hi, just wanted to post this for fun as I did not manage to present
this on the presentation day itself. I actually had a piece of music
to go with it, and the video was suppose to be played double time
faster.

Dear Sam,

I'll look at it. Keep up the good work, Sam.

Dear Sam,

Your Sketchup animation is really good and by visualizing the site and
its environ, regardless the less successful proposals, you've built
the premises to play out your ideas and solutions.

There are two major flaws and please don't be discouraged by critics +
Ramin + I. As we have discussed, the scale is completely off. It has
been further imposed by the presentation method + strategy. Since the
site is much broader and the urban fabric far more complex than your
final proposals, the employment of statistic+programmatic masses/
blocks compiling on top of one and an another causes wrong perception
leading to strong reaction. "This is just too big and where is the
context anyway?"

Could you look at this video by MVRDV - Vision For Grand Paris? I am
not saying that it is a good proposal and you need to look at it as a
precedent, I would like you to look at the way Winy Maas
"distributing" programs onto assorted sites in Paris. Notice the
statistic/programmatic block and how it has been sub-divided and
distributed through much smaller "cubes".

This is, of course, one way to continue Tschumi's method of exploding
red cube of programs. The trick is to observe what can be counted as
constant and what are the triggers?

Will write more. Please don't compromise your ambition and idea, just
learn to realize them in a profound way.
