Dear All

Although we are doing a big complicated project your final semester
work has to be intense with no break. It is only 14 weeks work and you
need to work on your final project every day, every hour and every
second! 3 months is not a great amount of time in the big picture of
your professional career. PUT 150% in this term.

You have no time to spare.

This is the chance for all of you to shine and produce the best work
possible.
We have given all of you a project that can define your final year
project, it is complex and provides you with a great opportunity to
test your architectural and design abilities.
We would like to say generally we reviewed potentially some
interesting projects, but in general students are not pushing
themselves as much as possible, all of you should have been working on
your projects during the break.
We expected more diagrams, plans, sections, options, exploration of
spatial idea, models and theories.
For next week you ALL need to come to the studio with as many drawings
to describe your current state of your project. You can not expect to
be told for final masters year to be told what to do every week, you
all need to start pushing yourself and initiating discussion and
critique.
We trust we have made clear our expectations and look forward to your
Wk3 tutorial.

For this Friday:

Shaowen - Group A : Wynyard Station + Artarmon Station
Ramin - Group B : Redfern Station + Milsons Point Station

Do come in with a list of requirements for train station in general
and your own input in particular: basic program & dimensions; critical
junctures in site plan, proposed intervention and the existing
station; all possible architectural elements that will at play in your
proposal and how do they relate in 2D and 3D?

Ramin and I will post our feedback for S1 so we can better communicate
from this point on.

That'll be all for now. We encourage you to write us for Q & A.

Hi everyone,

Perhaps we could start organizing the requirement list via group email.
If any of you have already started listing, perhaps you could start a new email thread (EXCLUDE Ramin+Shaowen from the recipient list so they don't have to receive every single email we're circulating).. and the rest of us can start to add to the list as it comes. This is so we won't have to leave all the minor details to the very last minute and will be able to have the list as organized as possible by then.

I don't mind doing the final organization and printing the consolidated list for Ramin+Shaowen Friday morning.
What do you guys think?

Good luck everybody,

Cheers!
Liv.
