Okay guys, quick message:

Leo and I have finally got a slot to laser cut the rail lines, and
have fitted them on to the model this afternoon -- it is currently
made of red acrylic sheets about 3mm thick (couldn't make it any
thinner because the edges of the thin acrylic strips would melt and
causing the rail line to distort/warp) . It was quite problematic
because it is really difficult to trace the exact location of the line
since all the buildings have already been built, but I must say, the
line fitted pretty well into the model!

Now, since we have dedicated much of our own time doing this and I'm
totally lagged behind in my work, it will be much appreciated if we
can arrange among ourselves to fix the rest. Things to be fixed:
1. Build Central Station! (IMPORTANT!)
2. Fix all the loose bits and pieces that have fallen out. (Oh and the
Opera House is missing)
3. Design temporary labels for the main stations -- ATO, MPT, WYD,
RDF, Central. (I actually did a 3D letterings to be cut on clear
perspex, but something went wrong with the file at the design lab.. so
it might not get cut on time...)

I understand everyone is surely very busy wrapping things up by now,
but I guess these tasks are pretty simple and won't require alot of
time. There are 23 of us and I reckon this can even be done quickly
Friday morning (just dont be late!) The keys to e-spot is with me, so
just come get it from me when u guys need it!

Another thing -- Leo and I have paid for the material and lasercut
bill, and I think he will post the price here later....

Please respond to this post to make these arrangements asap! Thanks!

impressive and all the guest jurors and crits and the big guns will

Hey group,

Paul and I:

1. Built all of the stations (central, redfern, wyndyardlol, milsons point, artarmon)
2. Modelled the opera house.
3. Labelled all of the stations.

In addition: The model now has a title box with the scale and a north point.

We have also rearranged the studio for tomorrows critique in order to have two simultaneous presentations with the group site model in the middle. We also have a banner for our class (its a pride thing for the model).

Now it is up to the rest of the 21 students to bring coffee and cake because it is the last day and it should be fun as well!!!!

Hope to see you all live and well tomorrow for final pres,

Erik & Paul

hey,

just about to say, thanks Paul and Erik. They did a really nice job as I observed this morning. Tomorrow everyone will see a shine-up Sydney model.

The red railway track is actually not very cheap, so I am afraid we need to raise fund tomorrow again. This time

Material: 2 red perspex = 58
             laser cut = 15

so aprox 3.5 dollar each.

anyone who spent any else on this model, let me know.

Pengfei will collect the money during lunch break. Thanks

Dear all,

You have no ideas how exiting and at the same time secretly worrying we are. Please make sure you've got some sleep tonight.
