Dear all,

As this session is coming to an end, each one of you need to
communicate with Ramin & Shaowen about any difficulties preventing you
from finishing an above average final submission.

For this Friday, please bring in the followings:

1) Site Model in white card - 1:500 probably. Done in group according
to each station.
2) All your site analysis laid out in A1 (max. 6 panels - pref. 4
panels.) Done in team of 2 or 3.
3) Preliminary vision of your programme/proposal. It has to be in
conceptual diagrams + maps, and a one page report on the ideas.
Individual.

As we have seen the quality of precedent models done by Thalis &
Cantrill's studio, your site models must be as good as if not better
than those.

Please start to upload your photos, analysis and maps onto your blog
so all of us can start to focus on the sites and work on the
individual programme/proposal.

Hi Shaowen and Ramin,

It appears that the class is freaking out a little about these 3
deliverables.

To clarify - the purpose of this intermediate submission (i.e. this
coming Friday) is so you can see a 'work in progress'. Am I correct?

As for the deliverables - the site analysis and preliminary vision
proposal shouldn't be too much of a problem to produce, since the
charette we did last week was pretty much that.

But, everyone is a little concerned about the site model - everyone
also believes that you want a completely finished thing by this Friday
- that's not the case, am I right?

Cheers,
John

ALL the intention of this FRIDAY is Work In progress - However you all need to work HARD as this is YOUR FINAL YEAR.
The model is work in progress However the SITE ANALYSIS shoudl be finalised you don't have ONE month for SITE ANALYSIS.
We woudl like to see all your final layouts for the SITE ANALYSIS.
Also the beginnings of the program and design concept sheets.
Please advise if SHAOWEN and I HAVE NOT MADE this clear.

Yep, great - that makes sense.

Thanks for clarifying.

John.

Hi Shaowen and Ramin,

For the finalised site analysis panels, should they be printed?
Or could we just have all the panels stored in the cd which can easily
be presented through the "projector tv screen"?

We can always print it in black and white. Not too expensive.

Video thing can support it.

B+W is fine.
Even colour A3 to indicate what you are proposing.
