Hey everyone - when you import your model into CryEng there are often faces missing from the model (completely, or from specific angles).

To fix this, in Sketchup, go to the Playup toolbar and select "Check Normals". Basically each facade needs to have a thickness of some sort (single planes don't work). Anything displayed in green won't be seen in CryEng. For those that are Green and have a thickness, select the face and right click to "Reverse Faces" (Sketchup treats faces as either interior or exterior (interior faces aren't shown in CryEng).

Hope this helps...

That is great. But the problem is that even with the faces the right side and the textures imported as .tiff and the preferences in playup checked as Russell advised in another thread still the exportation is not smooth.

For instance all my textures that are on the bottom of a rectangular prism show but textures on top and the side of rectangular prisms show up with replace me tiles on the surface.

Hey, I am having the same issue as Anas Sardaneh of faces with a "replace me"sign on it.
I have tried many different approaches (file formating, replacement, different computers and tlevels) to solve the problem with no success.

On the Crysis official forum everyone is very vague on talking about the matter: http://www.crydev.net/viewtopic.php?f=326&t=70825
Hope somebody knows the answer to this...

Cheers!

Just noting Mickael's problem was solved in our last class. It was caused by his level having a full stop in its name.

Hi Guys,

It may also be the "master material" box checked in the playup preferences ... see this thread: https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en&fromgroups=#!searchin/arch1101-2013/master/arch1101-2013/g2cb40zt8go/cJAU-r_msg4J

Alternatively you can replace the material through the material editor.

Cheers
