This was solved - for anyone else with this issue, just save the texture images as .tiff files, then use those .tiff files as your textures in Sketchup.

Hi:)

I am also getting replace me signs instead of my textures.

I started by following Russell's tutorial but when that didnt work, other suggestions.
I've tried using png.'s, jpg.'s, and tiff files.
I've tried replacing the texture's path in cryengine
The export paths are definitely correct.
I tried exporting both the selected geometry and the entire level.
Please help!
:/

Hi Guys,

Another student had this problem ... and it wasn't the texture images themselves (although, you should check those first).

The student had checked the "All exported meshes reference a single master material file" in the "Master MTL Options" section of the PlayUp preferences.

This should be set to "Each exported mesh has it's own material file".

Cheers

Hi.
I had that setting too, so I changed it and exported and again, but the same thing happened.

I replaced the texture files which I have saved as .dds files and this seems to be working.
