ok so I finally manage to get the textures to work and then the terrain suddenly loses all the colour and is too dark to see
I tried playing around with the lighting  and time of day things but it didnt change the colour of the ground, and when I hit reset values, the ground didn't change.
I can go back to an older version, but is there an easier way to fix this?

Also is it ok if the idea of my monuments is that the things using it are not human and therefore can fly or should i incorporate things like stairs for transportation anyway?

Hi Ashleigh,

It looks like something has gone wrong with your time of day settings ... one solution is to import the default time of day (that comes with CryENGINE) to your custom level.

To do this open the time of day editor (Terrain > Time of Day) then click the folder icon (third from the top left) and navigate to the "Editor" folder (which is in the root directory of your game folder) then select "default_time_of_day.xml

This will put the time of day back to the standard settings.

The users of your monuments are "students of Architecture, Architectural Computing and Engineering" so while at times they might not appear human, I can assure you they are.

Cheers
