crysis makes me cry!

Hi Russell + everyone! 

I'm trying to download Cryengine on my mac (windows 7) and it isn't working. 

I've tried downloading versions 3.4.0, 3.9.9 and 3.4.3 as well as the most recent but the program freezes when I try to create a new level. 

Has anyone else had this problem? And what should I do?

Hi Alicia,

I'll need a little more info than "it freezes"... Does any error message pop up? Have you installed DirectX 9 and later versions? Have you installed Microsoft redistributable packages (2005 and onwards)? What graphics card do you have (find out by opening the Windows menu, typing in "dxdiag" without the quotes, and hitting enter... then in the window that pops up, go to the Display tab and under "Device", check the device's "Name")? Are you running the 32 bit Editor.exe or the 64 bit Editor.exe?
