Hello. I'm getting a blank screen on perspective. i think i still have
all my stuff but i can't see them. I looked on forum but none of their
answers work for me. i can't really continue unless i see my stuff on
the main screen. i actually made a new file and made a new island but
still does not show on screen.

Hi Althea,

What has changed recently?

In the main toolbar there is a button called "Select Object(s)" ... the hot key is Ctrl+T ... can you click that and confirm that all of your objects are still in the level?

Also, at the top left of the Perspective window ... does it say "Perspective"?

Cheers

Thanks for answering Russell.

I did reorganize my folders.Top left of Pers window does say Perspective.

I have already made a new file, new island etc., and it's working ok so I'll stay with that. Only issue is the name does not start with a1101_arguellesling... i'ts just ChicagoAl_version and i tried to change it but i couldn't male it work so I'll stay with ChicagoAl_version.

Hi Althea,

Yes, all the files are linked to each other ... so if you shift your texture images them the materials won't show up properly. If you shift your cgf files (the compiled model files) then you just get little yellow balls as placemarkers in your environments. This can happen when people forget to include their models in their submission.

I'm not 100% sure why this would affect the Perspective window ... but it's hard to tell with the info you've supplied so far. Did the objects appear in the select objects list?

Cheers, and good luck.

Honestly it looked like I was under water but could not get out. Tried everything. I would open a file that had a fine view and it would open to this watery hell.

It's behind me. I hope it doesn't happen again.

Hi Althea,

Yes, good to move on ... but also good to know why something happened so it doesn't happen again.

You didn't mention the watery effect before ... maybe the water level was set too high?

In the Terrain editor its Modify > Set Water Level ... see what that says.

Cheers
