Hi,
Recently I redownloaded SketchUp because the Pro version had expired.
But since then all my models appear with red 'Replace Me' signs in
Crysis. When SketchUp confirms exportation, it does have a message
which says:
"A master material file named "PlayUpMaster.mtl" has been generated.
You must apply it from the material browser in CryEngine to all of the
entities in this export in order for your materials to appear."

In CryEngine, there is a folder and the material is there, but I can
only apply it to the whole model. So every model can only have one
texture, for which I cannot control the position, tone etc.

Anyone knows about this or has any suggestions?
Thanks

In your Playup settings in Sketchup, under cryengine 3 tab- Master MTL Options Is "own material file" ticked, or "single master material"?

Cheers,

I have tried both and it gives me the same thing.
I can apply the one texture on my model, save it but when I reopen the
cry file, it is not there! :(

Hi Mengi,

If you export with the "own material file" ticked you shouldn't have to re assign the material in CryENGINE3. So something sounds a little weird there.

If you edit standard materials in CryENGINE3 all changes will be lost when you close and reopen the engine. You can create duplicates/copies of standard materials though ... by right clicking on one of the standard materials. But make sure you save it to your levels folder and give it a unique name. Any changes to your duplicated material will be retained.

Cheers
