I'm having serious problems with PlayUp, I've been trying to import my
finished Sketchup models into cryengine for over a week but it never
works! I've figured out that the problem is that for some reason
the .cgf which is needed for it to show up in crysis isn't being
created - but I have no idea why or how to fix it. And when it
actually does work, it just comes up blank (I click on it, then click
on another object, and back on it - like shown in the first crysis
tutorial by Russell)

All my settings and preferences for PlayUp are correct, so thats not
the problem.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled PlayUp and tried splitting my models
into smaller sections rather than exporting them as a whole but it
hasn't helped.

Any suggestions??

Thanks!

Hi Beth,

Can you try with a very simple model ... just create one in the same file you are working with and see how that exports.

If it exports fine then it's a problem with your finished SketchUp model ... if it doesn't it points to your procedure.

Cheers, let us know how you go.

I have having an identical problem. I have tried using a simple model and checked my path over 1000 times! Everyone in the Red CEntre has been trying to help me - nothing as worked! Any help?!?!?!!?! I am seriously freaking out now. It was all working perfectly fine yesterday!

So how do you solve this problem? It looks like my finished Sketchup model has the same problem. Playup won't create a cfg. file for it.

Please reply asap since exp 3 is due today for civil engineering with architecture students.

Hi,

If you haven't already, check this thread :

Jules has posted a pretty thorough troubleshooting guide.
If it doesn't work, then post some more info, eg. Screenshots of your settings, error logs etc.

Good luck

Cheers,

Alexi
