Hello,
I'm in St. Louis for a conference and interested in coming to the open
house night tomorrow. However I don't have a vehicle and was planning on
taking the MetroLink. Looking at Google Maps it doesn't seem that there
are any sidewalks on the route they recommend - can you recommend a
better way to get to your space or some other advice?

I help administrate the Knoxville, TN hackerspace (knoxmakers.org) so
I'm really excited to visit some like-minded nerds here! :)

Hey Tracy,

Google hasn’t updated its map yet, but there’s actually a brand new overpass at 22nd street over I64 that’s now open. That’ll take you from Market St right down to AR. I believe it has good sidewalks all the way. There’s also a new bike path that’s probably pretty walkable, but I’m not totally sure where that comes out at.

Thanks,

Robert Ward

Hey Tracy,

Welcome to the city :)

Robert beat me to to but coming across 22nd should be just fine.  If on foot or scooter :)

Actually, there’s a cool little walkway that goes under the highway there. It’s the curvy one near the corner where the space sits. That’s what I would take.

I’m terrible at drawing on my phone, but hopefully this gets the point across… when you get off the train platform you can go straight through the lot toward the Ferris wheel. It looks like a building on the map because it’s got a big roof thing over the lot. Then you just go up about a block and the path will be on your left, and that goes basically directly to us. :)
