I figure the nerds here would like a challenge.  I have a new Nokia Gateway 3 that has 2 USB ports.  The technical AND the user manuals just say 'yup, 2 USB ports'.  I have a USB printer I am trying to get work.  I have tried these but didn't work:   3 Ways to Connect a USB Printer to a Network - wikiHow

Anyone have experience?  The Nokia gateway not apparently NOT assign a user viewable IP address to the printer.  I have attached the screen shot from the Nokia software.

Thanks
Vince

it doens't give it a different IP, it shares the printer on the Nokia's IP, same as a PC would share it

The USB port on gateways usually only has drivers for media and storage access,  I doubt you would be able to install print drivers on the gateway to allow a pass through function from the hosted IP of gateway to the printer port through usb. Unless the manual calls this out.

the screen shot says printer and RAW, which usually means generic LTP sharing.

Oops didn’t see the screenshot looks like it does, see if you can map to printer on 9100tcp with ip of Nokia on your machine.

I tried that but Windows still could not see or find the printer.  I'll do it again and document my steps.

I tried accessing CUPS and the router came back with the message that the CUPS Web interface was disabled.  Leads me to believe I can use a printer.
