I wrote to the organizer of Open Source Ecology - Global Village Construction Set to see if it would be possible to visit his location in Missouri for a day to see and learn what he has done and is doing first hand.
He has responded with the suggestion that I plan a visit on one of the Saturday Work Days that they hold. Apparently the "show and tell" comes with a slight suggestion of donating time to work there, or maybe he just wants us to see everyone there hard at work.
If you would like to join me, please let me know. I haven't set a date yet, but I'd like to go sometime this summer, maybe even as far out as September. As far as I understand, the location is just this side of Kansas City, in Maysville, Missouri. That is about five hours from St. Louis, so this would be a substantial investment of your time and possibly finances. It would most likely involve an overnight stay either on Friday or Saturday evening.
The web site is:

Even if you don't want to make the trip, the website and videos are something that many of you may want to see.
