Unfortunately, I don't think any work has been done on this in some
time. I actually installed Arch on my Macbook instead of maintaining
this more. I'm not sure of the current state of things. I've heard
good things about Homebrew [1], if you want a more maintained Mac
package manager.

Well, the latest work I know about was from late 2009 and can currently
be found at [1] and [2]. [1] is a repository of PKGBUILDs (that are
probably horribly out of date), and [2] is the scripts we wrote to make
a real Mac OSX installer out of the compiled pacman, makepkg, etc.
They are pretty old, but might be a good spot to start if you were
actually interested in picking it up again. If you did, maybe you could
get some people on the Arch Forums to help again.
Also, my Macbook finally died two weeks ago, so now I don't even have
a Mac anymore =(. If you do try to get this going again, let me know.
