Installer breaks down symbolic links

Dear developers,

I installed pacman yesterday and the installer creates a arch
directory in the /opt dir. I had, however, /opt as a symbolic link in
my root directory, because I use a case sensitive filesystem for opt.
Your installer removes this symbolic link and replaces it with a real
directory instead of accepting the already existing /opt. I had a
short panic that my whole macports install was gone, but fortunately I
only had to restore the link.

Please fix this.
