The number of messages posted to arcenc may be more than some of you like to receive. If that is the case, you can limit your messages to a daily digest. When your email is set to digest mode, every morning there are outstanding messages, you will receive a digest in your email. The digest will consist of a clickable list of the subjects from the previous day. Click on a line and you will go to the text of the message. Click on the heading of the text and you will go to a more-or-less full copy of the message, including photos. You can also click on the link I put at the top of each message, and that will take you to the article's original website, complete with ads, popups, unwanted audio and all the other things you hate about web browsing.
There are two ways to get digest mode for your arcenc email. 1) you can ask me to switch you to digest mode, by replying to this message, or 2) You can read the excellent tutorial written by Kea Johnston that is attached to this message. It explains how to switch to digest mode and how to use other features, if you have a Google account or want to get a Google account.
My thanks to Kea for writing this tutorial.
Remember that this applies only to the arcenc news group. There are normally not enough messages on ecartouche to warrant a daily digest. The only reason it's been busy lately is because of my frequent announcements about the new lists, which I hope will end with this mesage.
Have a good weekend!
