Looks good to me.
I did notice that after installing gem dependencies it fails like:

the problem occurs in the same instances of installation of the gem?
There have, however after installing the gem the code
Gem.clear_paths !

How odd then. Maybe I am mistaken and this doesn't fix it (it does
occur within the same instance).
