This is a case (another) where PETA steps in to "help" the animals but never follows through to see the consequences of their actions. The whole story is found at the link below.
There is a link (click on her name) there to the vet who arranged to sell the monkeys to NYU so you can read what she has to say. I would say, the monkeys probably would have been better off and better cared for at NYU.
