Oh yeah by the way anything that deals with Peta and h$h$ on the Animals Speak forum goes under Animal Rights VS Animal Welfare
which in case you forgotten your the moderator of that board. Grins.
I did remember that I was the moderator of this board. Because it is so new to me, I am not quite sure what is OK and what would be over the top --some of the things I get are quite true but unbelievable---and I don't want to come off as a crazed zealot of a different sort, either.
I just found out that HSUS has core groups in every state (well, I kind of knew it but never was able to confirm it for sure) and that they are holding HSUS lobby days where everyday animal lovers are invited to make reservations to attend a full day of seminars and where HSUS makes appointments for them to meet with their state representatives to push for AR laws in the state --laws like mandatory S/N, BSL, banning of greyhound racing (there never was any nor were there ever any proposals to have greyhound racing in De. but if there is a law banning it, that fact can be used to get it banned in other places), banning of hunting, changing "owner" to "guardian", banning of fois gras, and so forth.
You all have heard about "global" warming? Well all of these groups are intertwined (PETA, HSUS, Audobon, Sierra Club etc---all of which started out to be good things but lost their way when they were taken over) and they are pushing for all citizens of the world, especially US citizens who are totally responsible, along with W. for all the woes and tragedies of the world, to go green. Consequences be darned. The craziest thing I have now heard, is that the Fed. Dept of Ag is considering passing a methane tax on all raisers of livestock. Each cow, horse, goat, pig etc will be taxed up to $175 each because they release a greenhouse gas into the atmosphere. If that passes, guess we will all be forced to become vegans --even our animals which is a stated goal of HSUS/PETA and their affiliates----.
