I am posting this (belwo this note)   because FDA posted it !   I am *assuming* it must be because of a higher  % then what the FDA allows to pass through to the foods normally, but I really have no idea if that is true or not. It is speculation on my part !

I can tell you that i have just spent almost 2 hours trying to get answers from Pet smart and the FDA and I have a call into Petsmart to have someone ion managment call me within the next two days to see if  can get to the bottom of this.

No one at PetSmart's main number,  mentioned on the FDA site,  knows anything, other than is is a *precautionary measure* but they can not answer my specific questions with regards the salmonella situation.

The several FDA people I spoke with also have no idea, and/or they send me around in circles from one dept to another!~

I am really sick of being ignorant with regards to this topic of why they recall dog food because of Salmonella,  and yet I can't get a straight answer from anyone!

They say: it is becuase of salmonella !

I say: But the FDA cautions washing hands etc after handling dry dogs foods, because .......dry foods contain salmonella and you leave that on the shelves all the time, except on rare occation when you recall it for ......   *salmonella*   So is it the percetage that is an issue or what?

There response:   No one can answer this question!   Or I have not conncected with the right person who can.

It is driving me bonkers!~    Anyone have a clue?
