Dear Ustaadh,

Assalamualykum,

I was listening to exercise 12 from lesson 3, which is the exercise on Taa'marbuuta. So I wanted to ask: in dictation how would we differentiate between a word that has fatha on the last letter and a word that ends with Taa'marbuuta? Or is it a general rule that only feminine nouns will have Taa'marbuuta at the end (so if we hear a word that is a noun which sounds like it has fatha on the last letter we would automatically assume that the noun is female and has a Taa'marbuuta at the end)?
Jazak Allah Khair,

Shujaul.
