If you buy the car online as a distance sale you can hand the car back within 14 days for any reason whatsoever for a full refund, obviously the car must be in the same condition. I work at a motor dealer and for example a lady rejected a delivered distance sale Peugeot 208 as she just found the seat too low and uncomfortable. She brought the car back to us, we checked the mileage and condition and then paid her back to her bank account and dropped her off at the station. I would go for Captur of your 2 choices, however you have a healthy budget there. Have you considered something like a Ford EcoSport, they're a nice small auto, and a more reliable brand and better build quality in my opinion.

There is a website called car sized where you will be able to view them together and see the difference in dimensions easily. That may give you confidence as it's only a few cams difference. It is bit of a clunky website to use but very helpful

I have a captur and it's small! I can't fit much in the boot, and the central cup holder drives me insane as the kids kick it off all the time. The satnav is out of date now but is so badly designed ; you can't move it at all so if it's sunny or shadowy you can't read it.
It's very cute looking, and the seats are comfy but I would not buy it again.

I drive a Fiat 500 which is titchy so understand being used to driving a small car but I happily drive DH's much bigger car and a minibus at work and my parents' medium size car and parking is the same in all of them. You use your mirrors and line up with the kerb or the space itself. I don't ever using parking sensors and have never driven a car with cameras.

The size of the car shouldn't make a difference. Honestly.

I have a diesel clio as my work car/runaround and I really don't like it. It's feels too speedy and tries to rush around corners. Fine for rural driving but a pest in the town. It always manages to fail it's Mot impressively as well. I seem to be in a minority though as the 4 other people I know with them love them. Personally I can't wait to get rid of it so I'd not recommend!

We've got aa 2017 Clio as a second car run about that my teens have/are learning to drive in. TBH it's been bullet proof, no issues at all. But it's way too small and low down for a family putting toddlers and pushchairs in imo. I regularly got to a weekly event in a friend's Capture and it's way more practical for a family imo. Roomier inside.

You can make anything work though, it was our only car during COVID and we went on 2 UK holiday with 3 teens in the back and 3 bodyboards and a load of luggage so never say never! (Though they cartainly did ?)
