So I tried connecting my wiiremote to my PC but everytime it connects it works for a second or 2 and than it says driver error, does anyone know how to fix this? I tried reinstalling Bluetooth on my device but that didn't work
So, to connect and use your Nyko adapter on PC to use with Dolphin what you have to do is download a program called Zadig. Once you download and install Zadig, launch the program and connect your Nyko adapter to your PC (I plugged both USB cables into my PC but you should only have to use the black cable for it to work as the grey one is only used for rumble functionality). In the Zadig program, at the top click the "Options" button at the top and select "List All Devices". Once checked, select the drop-down menu and locate the device labeled "Gamecube For Switch". It should automatically fill out the rest of the boxes for you but just to be safe, the "Driver" box to the right of the green arrow should say "WinUSB (v6.1.7600.16385)" and the "USB ID" boxes should say "057E" and "0337", WCID should have an "X" in it. If everything is correct press the "Replace Driver" button and let it install the drivers. After it finishes you should be finished. Go into dolphin and in the Controllers section, set Port 1 to "Gamecube Adapter for Wii U".
Due to the nature of Apple's HID implementation, all HID devices (including non-standard ones) are intercepted by IOKit's HID driver. Since the adapter does not supply a valid report descriptor, this makes the IOKit driver useless for direct communication. Thus in order to use adapters on macOS, a driver needs to be installed that simply grabs and ignores the adapter, and permits a lower-level connection (like the one Dolphin makes).
On Windows, the GameCube controller adapter will need a custom driver to let Dolphin detect it and use it, Zadig can help you with it. From 5.0-2472 to 5.0-10617 it was possible to alternatively use UsbDk, but it is no longer supported in current versions.
The software that utilizes vJoy drivers, such as GameCube USB Adapter Driver, can treat the GameCube controllers as generic gamepads for Windows. They can be configured in Dolphin like any other controller. Unlike vJoy, Dolphin's native support will offer more straightforward and added missing supports from vJoy (i.e. force feedback), and offer better latency. vJoy and Dolphin's native support conflict with one another, so to use the native support in Dolphin, driver services must be stopped through GameCube USB Adapter Driver 's window. You probably already have ran Zadig setup if the GameCube USB Adapter Driver version is v3.0 or later. Skip to #Dolphin Setup below if you haven't encountered any problems with it.
If the adapter is not detected at all, then it may only be a matter of changing USB ports and restarting Dolphin, or its driver/setup might have recently been changed/overridden. You should follow the instruction again from one of the sections for your system.
I decided to switch over to Kubuntu for a while, and I backed up my documents on a NAS connected to my local network. I was able to see it and access it in nautilus, but when I try to access it in dolphin, I see this:
Under OpenGL and Direct3D 11, the Starfield demo seems to render correctly. Under Vulkan, Dolphin appears to completely crash. Developers of Dolphin seem to have indicated this is likely a driver problem.
I can provide more logs and system information if required. I can also test drivers and configuration settings on an Intel Core i5-7200U w/620 graphics and an Intel Core i7-7700k w/630 graphics if that would help as well.
By now the only thing left to do from our side is wait for the fix to be checked-in an upcoming 'Production version' driver release, so it becomes published in downloadcenter.intel.com. The whole process might take some time since the entire driver release has to go through extensive testing, but rest assured that help is coming.
I still believe this is a driver-related problem as every other Vulkan platform I'm aware of will at least start with this application (including the same device under Linux), but we can agree to disagree. The other backends do still seem to work correctly at the moment, albeit slower than if Vulkan was an option.
The link provided below is the official download page for Toshiba Stack. Use the newest version; it has the highest known compatibility. If the newest version doesn't work feel free to try older ones. Please be aware that Toshiba Stack will start in trial mode when using on a unsupported dongle subjected with forced driver installation, and will eventually require a supported adapter to continue use of the software.
The Toshiba Stack only supports a limited number of Bluetooth adapters. For absolute maximum compatibility, buy a Bluetooth adapter that is specifically designed to use the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack; look for "Toshiba Bluetooth Software" somewhere on the package or for "Toshiba" in the comments on the online store. There is a small possibility that the adapter not in the list can be used with Toshiba Stack, through the installation with an edited driver file, as instructed in the later section. But please acknowledge that it is preferably for experienced users only. The instruction will be divided at some point for the users and their specific adapters throughout this guide, starting from the first step in the next section below.
If Toshiba Stack does not seem to detect the adapter and shows endless "Please plug in the Bluetooth device and click OK button" prompts, it is because the Toshiba Stack will only install its drivers onto the adapter with a matching USB\VID number from the list. Naturally, the adapters not in the list are not supported and will be skipped. It is possible to make a workaround by adding the excluded adapter's USB\VID into the list.
By default, 64-bit versions of Windows does not let the users install drivers which are not signed. So, after modifying tosrfusb.inf its signature won't be valid anymore and Windows will block the installation unless Driver Signature Enforcement is disabled. Follow these steps on Windows 7:
Update: Since the creation of this article, Bluetooth Passthrough has been created as a new option for Wii Remote connectivity. By taking over the drivers of a Bluetooth Adapter, it allows unprecedented support for Wii Remote features, including the speaker and even 3rd party Wiimotes. However it doesn't work on all bluetooth adapters, and requires some setup to work. Even though it may not be the best option anymore, the DolphinBar remains a very easy all-in-one option for Wii Remote functionality, and we still recommend it for users. The DolphinBar does not current work with Bluetooth Passthrough.
There is a fundamental problem with mouse emulation on the DolphinBar: jitter. It doesn't matter how far or close to the sensor bar you are, the cursor is always shaking, and there is no method (at least on Windows) to solve it. Since targets in any interface designed for a mouse are generally very small, it is very difficult to hit them with the DolphinBar. To make matters worse, there's a half-second delay when trying to click something, where it will just stop for half a second then perform the action. This is apparently meant to make double-clicking easier with the jittery cursor, but it makes it very annoying when trying to navigate through windows.
Problem:
Xhorse dolphin key cutting machine driver problem. I have a new laptop window 10 64bit, can not use the laptop to upgrade the dolphin. I download the driver on the website, also try the driver in the upgrade kit still no go. Anyone have any ideas.
I use laptop win7 32 bit ok, only this laptop win10 has problem.
I was just about to update this post anyway. I have been in touch with Honeywell themselves. They suggested we were running an 'out of date' OS image of Windows CE5. They claimed that some of the drivers included in the image were quite out of date, especially some of the wireless drivers.
My problem is to modify settings on Dolphin emulator.
I installed Batocera 33 (but this problem was present already on version 32) and when I press F1 on my keyboard to set the joypad, the Dolphin windows seems as the resolution is set on 640480! I can only see half a setting window ?
It can be especially useful for cases where:
Good fine, this narrows it down to -emu/dolphin/pull/3510 possibly having an infinite. I'm locked out of the forums due to bad password attempts, would suggest contacting akyryz to get him to put debugging information here. and badkarma12 so we can compare your exact setups.
Ultimately, the Sys folder should be placed at a location similar to:
RETROARCH_SYSTEM_FOLDER/dolphin-emu/Sys
There is also currently a bug with this core and the GL driver that can be worked around by going to settings > user interface > show advanced settings ON and then going to settings > core > allow cores to change the video driver OFF.
Even better, if you have a nice GPU, you can run WSLg on a system with virtual GPU (vGPU) enabled for WSL so you can benefit from hardware accelerated OpenGL rendering. You can find preview driver supporting WSL from each of our partners below.
This is more than just X Server support. The community is moving towards Wayland as a simpler X, but there's also Weston to consider as a great compositor to build on. Weston already had a RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) backend and could use with with FreeRDP. But windows already has Windows Virtual Desktop that uses RDP RAIL (Remote Application Integrated Locally) as well as VAIL (Virtualized Application Integrated Locally) for optimizing transport over VM (local) boundaries vs network ones. There's an amazing blog post on WSLg Architecture here by Steve Pronovost.
