Hi guys,

Once again I would like to bring Aranduka back to life. I have tons of ebooks to organize and I just don't like Calibre hehe :)

Anyone interested in giving me a hand?

Aside from the active issues on the bug tracker, there's a problem with Mercurial which is blocking our branch-per-feature development scheme. This has been reported over two years ago and Google people don't seem to care much:

So I was thinkg of migrating to Git, now that it is available on Google Code. I've never done this before, so if anyone has tips about how to do this in a painless (or less painful) manner, I'd appreciate your input :)

Cheers,

A

Hello Andy and fellows!

Glad to see that someone is interested in aranduka's revival :-D Count me in as a collaborator. Ando don't have too much free time lately, but I can help with some things.

Respect of GIT, I don't have any experience in it, so sadly I can't help with that..

Regards,

Well, I'm glad to announce that the migration to Git went smoothly and without any problems (so far).
I followed this guide [0] and then pushed everything to Google Code.

I'll update our Developer Guide [1] now to explain how to do the same stuff with Git.

Great work Andy! I'm cloning the repo so I can start to give Aranduka some love :) according to our ToDo wiki [0] we are not far away from a first release point, we have quite a few items achived by now... yay! hopefully we can release an alpha soon.

Cheers!

Yes, sort of. We have many branches that have some of those things started, but there's still a lot to do. And some things might need to be rewritten from the scratch.
I've been trying to move forward with I18N and I've made some progress, but I'm stuck with plugins which for some reason I can't get to translate.
