Possibility: plugin website

I am hacking at creating a bunch of plugins for different source
catalogs (most won't really work ;-)

And I started wondering, if it makes sense to provide a bazillion
plugins when (whenever) we ship the app to the users.

For example, I did a plugin for arXiv.org , a great and awesome source
of scientific papers (alomst 700K of them), which is completely useless
for 99.99% of the people.

So, I think it makes more sense to provide some way to download plugins.
It has the added bonus of a chance to ship updated plugins to users.

Since plugins are one-file-and-one-folder, we could just download zipped
files, unzip-em, and stick them in ~/.aranduka/plugins.

Add to that a RSS feed for updates (we already have feedparser), and I
think it looks semi-easy.

I have server space, if someone feels up to the task :-D

Sounds great! should we create an issue so the idea doesn't gets to
the limbo? Maybe not for the 1.0 release but I think this is the way

Cool. It can always be beautified later.

It would be important to have an interface that allows us both keep
the plugin updated and search for new ones from Aranduka itself
(something like Firefox's extension manager... but maybe simpler). I
don't know if this can be done all with the RSS interface. If not, we
could add a very simple search API that returns json data.
