If you download the mysword apk and use a program called arc welder, you can use MySword on Chrome OS. You won't be able to add external modules, but you can install the modules already in Mysword. It's a little buggy, but it works pretty good. Also, you will only be able to use the basic version so no split screens etc.
I use eSword on my ultrabook (Toshiba Satellite U925t) as well as theWord. The icons are small but I have no particular issues when in tablet mode. Tablets (without a physical keyboard) are a bit more cumbersome but I did okay when I used eSword (and tW) on a MSI WindPad 110 (passed that one on to my oldest child). The MS Surface comes with a Wacom-like pen. I've not used eSword on the Surface (both II and III) at work but it should be much easier then other tablets. I also use a Lenovo Yoga ultrabook (work) that has a Wacom pen and software as "standard" for when using it in tablet mode. I use mysword on my Asus Nexus 7...very nice. I don't use apple products (cost too much for me).

In case you experience issues involving downloading of the module list (mysword_modules.xml) or the modules themselves due to network problems (due to network service provider's connection to the MySword web server), or you wanted to install MySword app to devices without internet connection (like in remote places), it is possible to just download the APK file from this site then download each desired modules one by one and place these modules under the mysword folder (selected Modules Path) after installing and running MySword for the first time.
