Wellcome Arabic Manuscripts Online

The Arabic manuscripts collection of the Wellcome Library (London) comprises around 1000 manuscript books and fragments relating to the history of medicine. For the first time this website enables a substantial proportion of this collection to be consulted online via high-quality digital images of entire manuscripts and associated rich metadata.

Allow me one question: Why do you use "wellcome" (with double ll) and
not "welcome"?

The "Wellcome" is a proper name. Hence the double "L". It is not "The 'Welcome' ( i.e. اهلا وسهلا) Trust". Sir Henry Salomon Wellcome was the founder of the Wellcome Pharmaceuticals, etc., the benefactor and collector. The Wellcome Trust bears his name and also the Library. http://www.wellcome.ac.uk/
