Greetings of knowledge, culture, achievement, and history,
We salute you—and through you, we salute all free journalists and writers around the world…
Those who did not compromise the truth, did not bow to fear, and did not betray the word.
You are not merely a journalist…
You are an ambassador of human conscience, a guardian of freedom, and a maker of awareness in an age of distortion.
The Manifesto of Word and Weapon
The word is a weapon,
Information is a weapon,
Language is a weapon,
Poetry is a weapon,
Thought is a weapon,
Media is a weapon,
The image is a weapon,
Truth is a weapon,
Awareness is a weapon,
Ethics is a weapon,
Memory is a weapon,
History is a weapon,
Knowledge is a weapon,
Law is a weapon,
Position is a weapon,
Courage is a weapon…
So do not lay down your weapons.
Thought + Media = Influence
And influence is the power that shapes history.
The written word is stronger than bullets,
Thought is stronger than gunpowder,
And truth outlives all tyrants.
True media is free media… independent… accountable only to the truth.
As for controlled media, it is nothing but an echo of authority—not the voice of the people.
In our Arab world, freedom of the press is often restricted, the word is suffocated, and the free voice is pursued…
Until silence has become, for some, a means of survival—not a choice.
But truth does not die.
The free voice is not buried.
And the honest word is never defeated.
It is not easy to be free…
And it is not easy to be the voice of those whose voices were silenced by chains, oppression, or death…
But this is the mission of the honorable.
When a human being is oppressed and deprived of freedom of expression…
That is not restriction—it is the assassination of the human soul from within.
Fear, unfortunately, has become a chronic disease in the Arab body…
And its only cure is the courage of the word.
Not everyone who holds a pen writes,
Not everyone who writes creates,
Not everyone who is silent thinks,
And not everyone who looks truly sees…
And the eternal question that shakes the conscience of history remains:
“When did you enslave people, while they were born free by their mothers?”

أولئك الذين لم يساوموا على الحقيقة، ولم ينحنوا للخوف، ولم يبيعوا الكلمة.
أنتم لستم مجرد صحفيين…
أنتم سفراء الضمير الإنساني، وحراس الحرية، وصنّاع الوعي في زمن التزييف.
بيان الكلمة والسلاح
الكلمة سلاح،
المعلومة سلاح،
اللغة سلاح،
القصيدة سلاح،
الفكر سلاح،
الإعلام سلاح،
الصورة سلاح،
الحقيقة سلاح،
الوعي سلاح،
الأخلاق سلاح،
الذاكرة سلاح،
التاريخ سلاح،
المعرفة سلاح،
القانون سلاح،
الموقف سلاح،
الشجاعة سلاح…
فلا تُسقِطوا أسلحتكم.
فكرٌ + إعلام = تأثير
والتأثير هو القوة التي تصنع التاريخ.
الحرف أقوى من الرصاص،
والفكر أقوى من البارود،
والحقيقة أبقى من كل الطغاة.
الإعلام الحقيقي هو الإعلام الحر… المستقل… الذي لا يخضع إلا للحقيقة،
أما الإعلام المقيّد، فليس إلا صدى السلطة، لا صوت الشعوب.
في عالمنا العربي، كثيرًا ما تُقيَّد حرية الصحافة، وتُخنق الكلمة، ويُلاحق الصوت الحر…
حتى أصبح الصمت عند البعض وسيلة نجاة، لا خيارًا.
لكن الحقيقة لا تموت.
والصوت الحر لا يُدفن.
والكلمة الصادقة لا تُهزم.
ليس سهلًا أن تكون حرًا…
وليس سهلًا أن تكون صوتًا لمن سُرقت أصواتهم بالقيد أو القمع أو القتل…
لكن هذه هي مهمة الشرفاء.
حين يُقمع الإنسان وتُصادَر حريته في التعبير…
فإن ذلك ليس تقييدًا… بل اغتيال للإنسان من الداخل.
لقد أصبح الخوف، للأسف، مرضًا مزمنًا في الجسد العربي…
ولا دواء له إلا شجاعة الكلمة.
وليس كل من حمل قلمًا كتب،
ولا كل من كتب أبدع،
ولا كل من صمت فكّر،
ولا كل من نظر رأى…
ويبقى السؤال الخالد الذي يهزّ ضمير التاريخ:
"متى استعبدتم الناس وقد ولدتهم أمهاتهم أحرارًا؟"
قرار تاريخي
تقديرًا لمسيرتكم المهنية، ولموقفكم في الدفاع عن الكلمة الحرة،
فقد قرر المجلس التنفيذي لـ جمعية المترجمين العرب منحكم الدكتوراه الفخرية،
وقد تم اختياركم من بين عشرات الآلاف من الصحفيين والكتّاب حول العالم لهذا التكريم الرفيع…
تكريمًا للموقف، لا للمهنة فقط…
وللرسالة، لا للوظيفة.
رسالة إلى التاريخ
إن هذا التكريم ليس شهادة… بل موقف.
وليس لقبًا… بل مسؤولية.
وليس لحظة عابرة… بل صفحة تُكتب في التاريخ.
