Questions Regarding "No UHD Devices Found"

Dear ARA Team,

When I tried to run experiments using SDRs on some UEs (e.g., Agronomy Farm UE, Ames UE, etc.), "No UHD Devices Found" occurred many times. What should I do to solve this, or does this indicate that all the radios connected to this host are currently busy? I also noticed that on the "Resource Overview" page, all SDRs under "User Equipment" are "in use." Does this have something to do with my question?

Hi Muchen, 

Thanks for reaching out. We have checked the UEs. Currently, Ames-UE-000, AgronomyFarm-UE-001, and AgronomyFarm-UE-020 will be able to find the SDRs. 

Reason for the Error "No UHD Devices Found": 

  1. Insufficient permission for the container to access the SDR. The issue can be resolved by stopping and starting the container. This solution is provided in ARA FAQ.
  2. The SDR is not accessible to the container due to variety of reasons. The issue can be reported to the ARA Team so that we can resolve it depending on the cause of the issue. 

When you can report the issue of "No UHD Devices Found.": In the ARA portal, if the Host Calendar shows the resource is not reserved and in the Resource Overview Page if the SDR shows the status as In Use, please report to sup...@arawireless.org so that we can take a look at the issue and resolve it asap.

Hi Sarath,

Thank you for your response. I found some devices whose status in the Host Calendar shows "not reserved," but the SDR shows "In Use" in the Resource Overview Page last week. I have reported them to sup...@arawireless.org
