Dear Colleagues and Students,
Hope you have been enjoying the summer!
I am writing to share an exciting opportunity for publicizing your ARA-enabled research studies and learning from fellow experimental researchers:
-
The
NSF PAWR
program will host its PI Meeting in the last week of September. Part of the program will feature high-impact research experiments executed using the PAWR platforms.
If you have been using (or expect to use) ARA for your research and are interested in presenting your work at the PI Meeting, would you please email me the following information at your earliest convenience
and by COB Friday, June 19th?
-
Name of your university/company/nonprofit;
-
If you are a student, name of your advisor and URL of research team webpage;
-
A short description of your research for which ARA is an enabling testbed, with a special focus on the (expected) impact of the research, associated publications (if any), and how ARA is a key testbed enabler
for the research.
(Note: travel support is expected to be available for a limited number of participating academics, with priority giving to students.)
-
The PAWR PI Meeting will be co-located with the NSF Midscale Experimental Research Infrastructure Forum (
MERIF), and
participants will have the opportunity to engage with the communities of other national infrastructures such as NSF Cloud (
Chameleon and
CloubLab) and
NSF FABRIC. (As a reference, the agenda for MERIF 2024 can be found
here.)
Two related notes:
-
We are always looking for input on ARA-enabled research. As you make progress in your ARA-based research, we will greatly appreciate it if you may help
share your publications/projects
here. This will allow us to better publicize your work and to continue making ARA a resource for you and other researchers in the community.
-
Building on the progress made in the 2023
ARA Public Launch and AraFest’24, we
are planning the 2026
Ag Wireless Week (AgWireless’26) to drive ecosystem building and program planning toward accelerating concerted 6G, AI, AgTech and
multi-use innovations. A tentative program can be found here,
and we will share more details soon with links to registration and travel grant applications; you may also watch for updates via the even website too.
Thanks and best,
Hongwei
