Dear [ARA Team],

I hope this email finds you well.

I am writing to request assistance with two matters. My colleague, Jie Wang, has already registered an account and set up a project on the platform. I would like to be added as a member to his project. Could you please advise on the correct procedure for this? I have already navigated to the "Identity" section but could not find an option to add a new user.

Secondly, I would like to inquire about the resource quotas allocated to our project/lab. Specifically, could you please provide the details for our CPU and Memory allocation?

Please let me know if you require any further information from me, such as my username or Jie Wang's project details.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Best regards,

Hi Jung,

Thanks for the email. As per ARA policy, only members with admin role can add new members to the project. Detailed instructions for adding new members can be found here.

Regarding the resource allocation for a project: Currently, there is no specific limit on the number of CPUs or the amount memory assigned to a project. However, the number of CPU cores and the amount of memory that can be allocated to an experiment container depends on the host machine where the container is launched. Typically, each experiment requires a certain amount of memory and CPU cores, which we specify in the corresponding experiment section of the user manual. If no requirements are specified, you may leave those fields blank, in which case the container defaults to 1 core and 512 MB RAM.

If you have any further questions, please reach out to sup...@arawireless.org
