Hi,

I tried to update /etc/ssh/sshd_config on ara-jbox, but I don’t have the required permissions. I also attempted to start the SSH service, but it failed due to restricted privileges. Could you please help enable SSH configuration changes or make the necessary updates on my behalf?

Thanks,
Una

Hi Una,

You cannot change the central SSH config and service managed by the administrators for all users on the jumpbox. That's not really how shared systems work. What are you trying to do?

Hi Una,

Thanks for reaching out. The ARA Jumpbox serves as an access point to reach your containers. You can only log in to the Jumpbox via SSH. From there, you can connect to your container, where you have full access and can modify the SSH configuration files if needed. You can refer to the ARA jumpbox documentation for more details. Ideally, you don't need to make any changes on the jumpbox apart from logging in (as Marty rightly pointed out).

Please let us know if you have any more questions.
