PLEASE FORWARD
Fay, the “dog with no lips” has been the subject of a fund
raising promotion by HSUS. She has gotten much attention on the Internet. However, Fay
was actually rescued by the Humane Society of MO and had been fostered
with Mutts N Stuff. She died on December 26th. In her memory, they would like to create Fay's Phoenix House, a halfway house for victims of dog fighting.
From Mutts-n-Stuff website: http://www.muttsandstuff.com/ Thank you for your interest in Mutts-n-Stuff! We are a small group of foster homes dedicated to rescuing any domesticated species of animal, however our focus is the "bully breeds." We are a St. Louis area rescue group that actively rescues the bully type breeds, focusing on the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Terrier, and Rottweilers. As such, the overwhelming majority of our rescue dogs are pit bulls and pit bull mixes.

UPDATE: (12/26/09) Fay is starting to act like a
fun loving dog. She was playing with her gifts and having a ball. It is the
first time we seen such happiness and it warmed our hearts. On Monday, Fay goes
back to surgery.
The biggest challenge is ahead of us as we attempt to give her a top lip. The
reason for the top lip is to help keep saliva in her mouth to flush the teeth
and keep medically need moisture on the gums and teeth. The moisture keeps the
teeth and gums healthy.
Update: Fay passed away this evening. I am devastated and feel a strong hate for
dogfighters.
Update: In memory of Fay, we have set up a memorial fund to help the victims of
dog fighting. Our goal is to build Fay's Phoenix House which will be a half way
home for the victims.
PLEASE DONATE TO THIS VERY WORTHY CAUSE.
