Called “steer tailing,” or coleadero in Spanish given its Mexican roots, activists and some political figures say the practice amounts to animal abuse and needs to stop. Three men charged with animal cruelty after one of the events last year were sentenced in a far northwest suburban courtroom Wednesday.
