LAST DAY! URGENT PETITION:  Bulls Chased Into the Sea - Act Now to Stop Bulls Being Tormented, many drowning in the Sea

I will no longer visit Spain, have cancelled student exchange programs, and advised friends, family, hundreds of contacts on social media to BOYCOTT Spain, a country still bogged down in the Middle Ages, where animals are concerned. Along with the slaughter of “galgos”, (hunting dogs) at the end of the hunting season and the running of the bulls in Pamplona, I was horrified that {contact_data~organization} hosts the Bous a la Mar festival. These events are horrific for animals.

No animal deserves to endure the trauma of being chased by a terrifying mob or harassed by violent men. Forcing bulls and cows into the water and dragging them out with ropes is cruel. You must stop this.

Public opinion across Spain is increasingly opposed to festivities with bulls and tourists . An overwhelming majority, 8 out of 10 Spaniards, are against using animals in bullfighting and similar spectacles.

Tourists visiting the Costa Blanca may stumble upon these events unaware, only to be shocked by the medieval barbarity display. Increasingly, tourists are choosing to avoid festivals that involve animal exploitation. It’s time that these events were left in the past.

As the {contact_data~positionHeld}, please replace this spectacle with humane activities that don’t involve tormenting animals.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Action Alert

Deadline tomorrow: this is your last chance to help stop cruelty to bulls in Dénia, Spain.

During Bous a la Mar festival, terrified bulls are chased towards the harbour’s edge until they fall into the sea. Some drown.

Exhausted, bulls struggle to stay afloat as ropes are yanked tight around their heads to drag them back to shore.

Sharon, the Mayor of Dénia can end this abuse. Act before Thursday 25. Your signature will be delivered directly to him.

Thanks for all you do for bulls.

Sincerely,

Teo Z
