(US/oh) New charges filed in alpaca case

Butler County Prosecutor Robin Piper filed additional charges Friday
against two juveniles accused in the beating death of a baby alpaca -
and says a proposed animal-cruelty law needs to be even stronger.

The two 17-year-old boys, who are to appear in Juvenile Court next
week, are now facing felony-level charges of vandalism and theft,
along with previously filed charges of animal cruelty, breaking and
entering and evidence tampering.
