Tomorrow — Friday, November 14 — the City Council Health Committee will take a critical vote on Ryder’s Law!
This vote is only happening because we created enormous pressure — relentless calls, rallies, emails, and public outcry that the Speaker could no longer ignore.
Everything comes down to this vote. It is truly life or death for NYC’s carriage horses. We need you with us Friday!
9:30 AM — RALLY AT 250 BROADWAY, FRIDAY, NOV 14
Join us outside 250 Broadway in Manhattan on Friday for a massive show of strength before the vote. This is our chance to finally move Ryder’s Law forward and protect horses who continue to collapse, run terrified through traffic, and suffer every single day.
10:00 AM — PACK THE HEARING ROOM
Immediately after the rally, we will go inside to fill the Health Committee Hearing Room as the vote takes place.
Even though we are barred from speaking, our presence will be impossible to ignore. Please bring a photo ID to get through security.
Despite refusing a hearing since 2022, Speaker Adrienne Adams has now been forced into an unprecedented no-testimony meeting — something Politico reports has “never been done in the modern era.”
They are trying to silence the public.
We must show them they cannot.
Tomorrow, the committee must either: Vote YES on Ryder’s Law, or schedule a public hearing. This is the closest we have ever been to breaking the cycle of cruelty.
☎️ CAN’T ATTEND? CALL NOW
If you cannot be there in person, please call/email the Health Committee members today:
Tell them: Friday's vote on Ryder's Law is life or death for the horses. Please vote YES to advance Ryder’s Law.”
💥 EVERYTHING LEADS TO TOMORROW
The collapses, the runaways, the deaths — the city has seen enough. And because of you, the Council is finally being forced to act.
Please be with us at 9:30 AM outside 250 Broadway — and at 10:00 AM inside the room for the vote. Don't forget to bring your photo ID.
This is our moment. We cannot lose it.
