U.S. Horses Exported, Slaughtered Abroad.

Many people are unaware of the terrible fate of many of America's horses. According to ReturnToFreedom.org and AnimalWellnessAction.org, more than 24,000 American horses and wild mustangs were shipped to Canada or Mexico for slaughter in 2025 alone. And investigations by organizations such as the Animal Welfare Institute (awionline.org) show that horses often face inhumane conditions during transport, including lack of food, water and rest.
