(US/il) Woman facing animal cruelty, hoarding charges

VIENNA, Ill. - "I don't call it hoarding. I call it keeping what you
need so you don't have to go out and buy it later."

It's that philosophy from 66-year-old Hanna Palmer hoarding experts
say is a clear denial of her living situation.

"Who ever heard of hoarding an animal?" Palmer said.

The show "Hoarders," which airs on A&E, visited Palmer's home and
cameras caught dozens of birds living in cages together. Despite her
own family condemning the conditions, Palmer said they were in fine
health.
