This shelter is going crazy killing dogs. They killed 1000 dogs in the month of June alone! Please contact elected Town officials and tell them that it's time for Greenville to come into the 21st century; tell them that you expect them to do what it takes so that Greenville joins the 500 communities around the country who are saving 90%-98%of animals in shelters.

Honorable Officials, Ladies, Gentlemen,

Word has traveled via the Internet, concerning “potentially” CRIMINAL and horrific abuse of POWER at the UPSON COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER, 2371 Yatesville Hwy, Thomaston, GA.   It is alleged by eye-witnesses, one a volunteer at the shelter, that

the ACO has been using many of the dogs at the shelter as bait dogs, in dog fighting rings. This matter is of great concern to those who care about the fate of animals in shelters, and animal welfare organizations throughout the US.  Citizens, taxpayers, concerned animal lovers demand an immediate investigation into these allegations, and if found to be true, that the ACO be fired immediately and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.  We urge you to take immediate action to do everything possible to stop this illegal and tragic abuse of innocent animals.
