At the ASLO-SIL 2026 meeting in Montreal, 12-16 May 2026, we are convening the session:
This session will highlight recent advances in autonomous, field-deployable eDNA instrumentation and applications. Talks will showcase samplers and sensors integrated with AUVs, gliders, moorings, and other platforms, along with field case studies across freshwater and marine environments. We’ll emphasize operational performance, biological insights, and real-world applications—from invasive and endangered species monitoring to harmful algal bloom surveillance and integration into biodiversity observing programs.
Key details
Abstract submission and registration open: 8 October 2025
Please consider submitting and share with colleagues who may be interested.
By bringing together technology developers, researchers, and end-users, this session aims to foster collaboration and demonstrate how autonomous eDNA systems are expanding the scope, speed, and cost-effectiveness of aquatic biodiversity monitoring.
We look forward to strong participation from the community in Montreal.
Best regards,
Elizabeth Allen, Kevan Yamahara, Austen Thomas, and Adam Sepulveda
