🌊⚓ Calling All MAST Alumni — It’s Time to Dive Back In! ⚓🌊
The National Museum of the Great Lakes and the Maritime Archaeological Survey Team (MAST) are thrilled to present the 2026 MAST Nautical Archaeology Refresher Workshop — and this year, it’s all about you, our seasoned MASTies!
📅 April 11–12, 2026
📍 National Museum of the Great Lakes Shipwreck Preservation Society - GLSPS
Has it been a year… or six… or fifteen since your first MAST class?
Feeling rusty? Forgotten a few things?
2026 is your comeback year!
We’re hosting a special four‑hour refresher session designed exclusively for past students. Including:
🔹 A review of core skills
🔹 New techniques — including 3D scanning with your phone
🔹 Hands‑on mini‑projects (yes… Anchors!)
🔹 Optional extra time for deeper practice
🕰 Saturday, April 11 — 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM
Refresh your skills, reconnect with fellow MASTies, and rediscover everything you ever forgot about nautical archaeology.
🕰 Sunday, April 12 — 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Optional)
Join us for project work, data updates, and continued practice.
And for those who want to take it even further…
🌊 In‑Water Practice Session: May 16–17
(Not required — but absolutely encouraged!)
And then there is the Annual MAST Dinner. This year Chris Kraska, a MAST member, former Chair of the MAST BOD, and current member of CLUE will be joining us to talk about CLUE’s newest shipwreck:
The Loss of the Clough: Exploration, Discovery, and an Unexpected loss.....
