to Aqua-G Universal Gesture Framework
Hello all,
I am considering making a change of the port number for the AQUA-G
server, to 5945 instead of 3007. The change is motivated by a desire
to allow original Sparsh-UI device drivers to connect to the framework
without having to modify their code. Some of these drivers are old,
and the port was hard-coded, so it is difficult to change it to
reflect the new AQUA-G port.
I have also considered listening on both ports so existing devices
don't have to change, but although this would allow us to keep
existing devices the same, it's messier than I would like.
Changes will have to be made to all input devices and client
applications. Let me know if you have an opinion on this matter - I
expect to push out version 0.2 with native Sparsh-UI support (for
input devices and client applications) by next week sometime.
Also, I am currently looking for someone who might be interested in
building in TUIO or VRPN support to AQUA-G. Let me know if you're
interested.
Thanks,
Jay
